I saw a black Tempo just like this running relatively quickly at a stoplight (so no SR20). Sounded like the engine was fucked. No idea who would import it.

I had an 88 Tempo that I had to set the idle to 1200 rpm just so it would run. Had the car for 10 years-sold it to a collage kid....hopefully he had a strong brake foot.

Did your power steering over power your engine too?? Mine always did! Turn the wheel....and stall....

NMope, never had that happen.....by the time I sold it-the power steering was one of the few things working on the vehicle.
